About Love.

I thought love was
Only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else
But not for me

It is my opinion that money, or rather lack of money, is the greatest source of depression. Why? Because you can't get AWAY from it. It leaks into every part of your life. Anything else, you can try to escape. Money? You need it for everything.
It's horrible.

Megan wants to go to a Video Game Convention.

What would I give, to spend a day, warm /in the video game convention?/
I would love to go to a video game convention. It's like a dream of mine.
Seriously. I can't imagine how good a day would be, walking around, checking out all the new games, seeing the displays, buying a souvenir or two, ahhh. It would be great.
Say, that reminds me of Kairi.
Oh, what? Nevermind.

Apparently

Reading someone's blog makes me want to babble constantly lmao.
I'm sorry.

But, really, sometimes I think we need to just cut off the poison.
Some relationships are simply not healthy.
But it's hard to decide if they'll kill you or if you want to live with them.
It's all a choice. Life's all choices.

Ahahahahaha

All right.
I was just thinking of wonderful things I could do.
I thought, oh, I could dress up ridiculously and go hang out in random places.
And then I thought, oh, like a prostitute.
Random, yes.

But I think I'd like to just buy some Ben & Jerry's sometime and wander the streets or something.
I don't know. Ice cream and street wandering. That's a good time, all right.

[sigh]

Most of the time....

I don't care.
I shut myself off.

But... when I do care, maybe I care too much.
It feels good to be filled with SOMETHING.
But I'm afraid of making them feel more stressed or upset or just plain bothering them.
I don't like when people hurt them.
I don't like when they let people hurt them repeatedly.
I have no respect for substance abuse.
But what's the difference.
Pot, Alcohol, Video games. They're all crutches.
Whatever. I'm sorry.
Everyone's a fucking critic.

060409

Today was a wonderful day. I woke up early, ate breakfast, went out into the rain, and played Sonic and the Secret Rings for an hour before 'the kids' came home. Then I watched them (nice) and at about 2:15 I went to the library. The weather had become warm, sunny, and overall pleasant by that time, so I was energized. Then I rode in the car with the breeze ruffling my hair (oh, my hair was wonderful today, and so was the breeze-I felt beautiful). I read a fantasy novel while taking breaks to watch the trees go by. I thought to myself, Is there anything better than watching the trees on either side of this country road go by, while listening to a local radio with low-powered musicians? No, I don't think there was. <3

Gonna Hit You With Sonic Speed

I am in SERIOUS LOVE with Sonic the Hedgehog today.
Since last night, when I watched hours of Sonic X with my cousins, I cannot stop this handsome blue hedgehog from racing through my mind.

At first it was fine. It was good. It was FUN!
But now. . . . AAAAGH IT IS TURNING MY BRAIN INTO MUSH AND MAKING ME TENSE.

I've been listening to Sonic music all day, watching old Sonic movies, the Sonic X anime in Japanese, perusing the Sonic games on Amazon.com, and seriously considering buying some. It's a sickness.

HELP! (but don't!)

One thing that's really caught my eye is the old Sonic CD for the Sega Cd add on to the Genesis.
I think I remember playing this particular Sonic over my uncle's house when I was just a wee street urchin. (or something along those lines) I must have been around 6-8 years old. :] NOSTALGIA IS A WONDERFUL THING, PEOPLE.
Now I want to play it again. I wonder if my uncle still has that Sega CD system lying about....

And the Sonic Adventure series of games on the Sega Dreamcast system looks terrific.
I want to play them, but alas, no one I know ever had a Dreamcast. :[
And emulators are too annoying for me lmao.

All right. I'll admit it. I'm addicted at the moment. It's the first step to recovery, right?.... but I fear the only cure might be to actually make a purchase. . . .

May 03, 2009

I've been perusing the Japanese Amazon.com (Amazon.co.jp), and have come across two Nintendo DS games based on Ouran High School Host Club & Vampire Knight, two mangas/animes I enjoy.
My reaction? WHOA! They make these things??? Awesome. But now I want them. And I can't have them. Unless I learn Japanese all of a sudden. . . . Which takes a lot of effort!!! Oh, well. I can still admire from afar.

I've recently been on my PS3 a lot lately, and logged onto the PSN and HOME. I've downloaded some demos, and among them was FINAL FANTASY's CRYSTAL DEFENDERS R1. My opinion is that it's just plain adorable. Simple, yes, but still quite charming. Others have disagreed, but we all have our seperate opinions. I'm not sure I'd pay 10 dollars for it, but 3. . . . Yes, I think I would. :)
On HOME, I've been approached by a few male avatars lmao. It's pretty awkward, but not so bad. It's not all too difficult to brush off unwanted attentions. The graphics are pretty good for a free online game/simulator, and I played it for an hour or so. I even took pictures.

My sister and I have been enjoying some SEGA classics: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Streets of Rage 3. Both are fun, old-school games we can play together. The co-op gameplay combined with the hilarity of watching our characters grab each other on-screen while we call each others' characters pet names like "Babycakes" is fairly amusing (maybe you can imagine).

Have you seen those STAR TREK esurance commercials? Oooh, I love the animation of the esurance girl. Haha, I can't explain it, but it's true. The movie itself looks all right. . . .I'd go see it if I absolutely had to go to the theater, but I wouldn't rush out to see the movie by itself.

WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES. Looks so promising. I wonder when it will be released for the PS3 in English? It's out in Japan, but it would cost me at least 30 dollars to import it, and wouldn't be worth it--I wouldn't understand 80% of it, haha. Looking forward to it, though.

Helped my sister with a project this weekend. The results of which were slightly ridiculous. . . .but she'll get a pretty good grade.

I celebrated my younger cousins' first communion today. The weather didn't hold out (rain-pools, anyone?), but it was very enjoyable. I spent a lot of time with my family and their family's family. . . .All very pleasant. Oh, and there was cake.
I felt energized until I came home. Then I crashed, LMAO. Body/Sugar-wise.

ALL RIGHT! Off to bed with me now. I've got stuff to do tomorrow! <3

Trifolium Repens -- What it means.

A four leaf clover refers to an aberration of a three leaf clover plant, the Trifolium repens or "white clover."

The white clover is a deep green flowering vine with white blossoms. It is the original shamrock plant of Ireland and the unofficial state symbol. The shamrock already has powerful associations, and its occasional production of an extra leaf makes the rare four leaf clover especially lucky.

One leaf stands for faith, another for hope, the third for love and the last for luck.

Many myths are associated with four leaf clovers. Finding one not only brings good luck, but in the Middle Ages, it was also thought to allow the bearer to see fairies and plant sprites. So it was that children often searched fields for a four leaf clover in order to see into the magical realm of the spirit world.

A genuinely rare, four leaf clover from Trifolium repens will usually have a smaller fourth leaf in comparison to the others on the stalk.

If you find a four leaf clover you can consider yourself very lucky indeed.
